BBC Article Identifies Tour de Film’s Inflight Entertainment Opportunity

Airlines have a rare opportunity to plug right into what their vacationing customers want.

An article in today’s BBC online offers some insight into the direction airlines are taking, all of which share some facet of what Tour de Film could be doing for them — with better results.

Why not integrate Virgin’s in-flight comedians in a film, shown on a channel integrating the Edinburgh Fringe Festival? Qantas has introduced tailored books, only catering to the length of the flight, but we’re offering tailored films, based on the destination. Air Canada travelers might be even more incentivized if they knew their film had a chance to be in the EnRoute Film Festival.

The article offers some interesting insight into the powerful entertainment — and marketing — solutions which Tour de Film can offer, much further along in the same direction which airlines are already heading.
